We want you to buy WispFX only if it works for your footage and your computer. That is why you can download WispFX for free and test it first. The free version has every feature; its renders carry a watermark until you enter a licence key. It is for evaluation and personal non-commercial use; commercial use needs a licence. Please install it and run your own shots before buying.
1. When we refund
On top of your legal rights, we refund a purchase in full if you ask within 14 days of purchase and one of these applies:
- It does not run on a system that meets the published requirements, and we cannot fix it together. Requirements: Windows 10/11, an NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB VRAM and a supported driver, After Effects 2024 or newer or DaVinci Resolve, enough disk space for the model download. We may ask for the engine log (
logs/folder) and your GPU model so we can try to fix it first. - A documented feature does not work and we cannot fix it or offer a workaround within a reasonable time.
- You were charged twice or bought the wrong licence type. In this case we can also switch you to the right licence.
2. When we normally don't refund
- The hardware is below the minimum. For example: no NVIDIA GPU, less than 8 GB VRAM, a Mac, or another operating system. These limits are stated before purchase, and the free download lets you check.
- The result on a particular shot falls short of your expectations, when the Software works as documented. AI mattes vary with footage, and the free download lets you test your own shots before buying.
- More than 14 days have passed since purchase.
- Licences used in breach of the EULA.
None of this limits your statutory rights. Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK are entitled to a remedy, including a refund where applicable, if the Software does not conform to the contract. See the Terms of Sale.
3. EU right of withdrawal
When you buy, you can ask for immediate access to your licence and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the licence key is made available. If you did not give that consent, you may withdraw within 14 days, including with the online withdrawal function. See section 5 of the Terms of Sale. 4. How to ask
Email [email protected] with:
- your order number;
- the store you bought from (Gumroad, aescripts + aeplugins, or our website);
- a short description of the problem.
We reply within [2 business days]. Approved refunds are paid by the store to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
When a refund is issued, the licence key is deactivated on all computers and WispFX goes back to watermarked renders. Mattes and other Output you made while licensed remain yours.
5. Studio licences
Studio seats can be refunded under section 1 within 14 days of purchase. Unused seats on a multi-seat order can be refunded [within 30 days / at our discretion].
6. Founders launch price
The founders price (USD 59) is offered for 14 days from launch or until 500 licences are sold, whichever comes first. Founders-priced licences can be refunded on the same terms as any other licence. A later price change is not a reason for a refund or a partial refund.
